Sunday morning walks. I'm flexible, call/text me to schedule a walk another day.
Join me at Glenn Hall Park in Sacramento for a barefoot walk along the American River. It is a 2 mile walk (approx). You can be barefoot for part of the walk if you like or not at all, so bring your shoes. Barefoot walking allows us to slow down, conscious of each step, in tune with our inner self and our physical body, in meditation.
Come early and we can enjoy a Stargate meditation at the river's edge before our walk.
Registration required
Suggested donation $10
I started barefoot hiking (earthing/grounding) the summer of 2019. As I was going through peri-menopause, I wanted to stimulate more brain neurons and continue to have good balance and health. It took some time to work up the courage to go barefoot and within a few months of slowly hiking more and more miles barefoot, I was hooked. I have walked over twelve mile hikes barefoot, over trees, rocks, and sand, over mountains, and across rivers and valleys. It has changed my life... in ways I never even imagined and the health benefits are enormous.
Just stepping outside and taking in a breath for a moment can help to reset your nervous system and calm the mind.
Earthing is a direct physical contact with the earth, through the feet, hands or whole body. When you are in contact with the earth you are connecting with the vast supply of electrons on the surface of the Earth. The Earth's negative electrons connect with our body’s positive and “can create a stable internal bioelectrical environment for the normal functioning of all body systems. It resets our biological clock regulating diurnal body rhythms, such as cortisol secretion.”1
Better sleep, reduces pain, reduces acute and chronic inflammation, neutralizes free radicals in the body, reduces chronic stress, increases oxygen circulation, and is also an effective strategy against hypercoagulable blood, and so much more. Please check out the resource links below.1
Watch the documentaries. Learn how earthing can change your life and your health.
